Republican candidate: Ben Quayle, attorney

Recent updates from the Crystal Ball

Background:

The open seat for Arizona’s 3rd Congressional district has generated a lot of interest before the August 24th primary, especially among Republicans. The Republican field of candidates include Bob Branch, former state Senator Sam Crump, former state Senator Pamela Gorman, Leann Hull, Steve Moak, former Maricopa County health care district board member Paulina Morris, Paradise Valley mayor Vernon Parker, attorney Ben Quayle, former State Senator Jim Waring, and former Paradise Valley mayor Ed Winkler. The candidate for the Democrats is attorney Jon Hulburd.

The 3rd district is an affluent and mostly Republican district. For now, Ben Quayle appears to be off to a good start, in terms of the money he has raised and endorsements received. Given the makeup of the district as well as the heightened interest of Republicans, this race remains Likely Republican.
