Director of Programs
Glenn Crossman is the Director of Programs for the University of Virginia Center for Politics. He works with the Director, Associate Director and Chief Financial Officer to develop, coordinate, and implement annual programmatic activities for the Center, including numerous conferences, special events, research projects, documentaries and publications. Glenn has over 25 years experience in event planning, marketing, and public relations. He earned his B.S. in Management from Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island. After several years working in event planning and public relations in the Hotel Industry in Boston, Glenn went to work for the Harvard Club of Boston as Director of Sales and Catering.
In 2004 he moved to Charlottesville and became General Manager of Glenmore Country Club in Keswick, Virginia. Glenn graduated from the University of Virginia’s first Super Temp program in 2011. This program selects new college graduates as well as seasoned executives and helps them integrate into the workforce and culture by training them on a majority of the software used by the University.
Glenn volunteers for several nonprofit organizations serving on boards and co-chairing fund raising events. In 2008 Glenn graduated from Leadership Charlottesville, an “economic development” initiative through the Charlottesville Chamber of Commerce to help build an active corps of engaged, dedicated civic leaders. Most recently Glenn helped launch Charlottesville Health Access which navigated homeless and indigent people through the University of Virginia Healthcare System.
