Don Baker was the Richmond bureau chief for the Washington Post from 1985 until his retirement in 1999. He is the author of Wilder: Hold Fast to Dreams published in 1989. He is currently writing a book about the closing of the schools Prince Edward in the 1960s to be published next year by Random House. He and his wife Nancy live in Richmond where they review restaurants for a weekly newspaper and volunteer for a reading project at a middle school. _____________________________________________ |
