Ten Years of Good Politics!

Ten Years of Good Politics!

At the end of June 2008, the Center for Politics will conclude its tenth year of improving civic education and increasing civic participation through nonpartisan, interdisciplinary research, analysis, educational programs.

Please join us outside at our new location in Charlottesville, a beautiful home called Montesano, for an Open House and two days of activities, speakers, and events showcasing the last ten years of Center programs, with specific attention paid to our efforts to preserve the rich history of Virginia politics and government.

The full conference schedule will be available soon, and all of the events are free and open to the public.

Please plan to stop by during our Open House hours:

Montesano is located at 465 Crestwood Drive in Charlottesville, Virginia (across the street from our previous office location on Old Ivy Road). Detailed directions will be available soon.

Questions? Please contact the Center's Director of Programs, Megan Davis, at 434-243-3539 or megandavis@virginia.edu.

Since 1998, the annual Center for Politics' Virginia Political History Project has brought together friends, family, political professionals, legislators, and the public in a continuing effort to preserve an oral history of modern Virginia politics. In partnership with the Weldon Cooper Center for Public Service, this project has examined the administrations of Virginia's more recent, former governors and other high-ranking elected officials, as well as explored the dynamics of various institutions of Virginia government.
