Center for Politics Student Internship Program
Student Opportunities
The Center for Politics internship program provides University of Virginia students the opportunity to assist the Center's ongoing programs and projects. Working side by side with the Center staff, interns receive a hands-on introduction to the mechanism of state and national government and politics, while also contributing to the Center's goals of political research, education, and reform. Possible duties include - but are not limited to - research, writing, development, event planning, public relations, graphic design, administrative support, and technical support.
Applications are now being accepted for spring 2010 and summer 2010 internships at the Center for Politics. An internship at the Center for Politics offers students the opportunity to gain practical business and political experience. Spring and summer internships are unpaid and offer no course credit. The application deadline for Spring 2010 is January 15, 2010. However, space is limited so we encourage you to submit your application as early as possible. Online applications are available.
The Center also offers non-credit, voluntary internships in the spring and summer, and accepted interns work an average of 6-8 hours/week at Montesano. Applications for spring internships are generally available in October and summer applications are available in March.
