North Dakota (AL) House 2010

Crystal Ball Outlook: Leans R

Democratic candidate: Earl Pomeroy, Incumbent

Republican candidate: Rick Berg

Recent updates from the Crystal Ball

Background:

Democratic incumbent Earl Pomeroy will face Republican challenger Rick Berg in a race to win a 10th term as North Dakota’s Representative-at-Large.  Pomeroy serves on the House Ways and Means and the Agriculture committees.   Also, he has voted 97.6% with his party during the current Congress.

Although Pomeroy does have his party’s support and a large financial advantage over Berg, he remains vulnerable to the current anti-incumbent mood throughout the country.  If Berg is able to make a case to voters and gain more financial and political support, the race should remain close.  For now, this race Leans Republican.
