A recent Strategic Marketing Services poll shows Sen. Olympia Snowe with a 73 to 10 percent lead over author and activist Jean Hay Bright, with 17 percent undecided.
June 16, 2006 Update:
The Democratic primary is too close to call between Jean Hay Bright and Eric M. Mehnert. It makes no difference whatsoever, because Senator Olympia Snowe will win the general election handily.
Background
This state may be more Democratic than ever, but Democrats have struggled to find a credible candidate to oppose popular moderate Republican Olympia Snowe. It’s another walk in the park for the two-term Senator.
