Charlottesville

Emmy 2017 - “Charlottesville,” revisits the tragic events of Aug. 11 and 12, 2017 to grapple with the difficult question of how such hateful acts could have occurred in modern America. Now over a year since the violent white supremacists’ demonstrations, this gripping two-hour feature provides an in-depth examination of Charlottesville in the wake of shocking racial strife, religious bigotry, government blunders, and political equivocation. Through the use of first-hand accounts by victims and witnesses, the documentary explores harrowing accounts of each individual’s journey to overcoming the violence and terror that overtook Charlottesville last summer.
