Dan Keyserling joined the Center for Politics in June 2008 as the deputy director of communications, helping to manage media relations, strategic communication, and coordinate the Center's book projects. Dan also serves as a contributing editor to the Crystal Ball, a political analysis web site created by Center director Larry Sabato.

Prior to working for the Center, and having worked periodically for Sen. Evan Bayh from 2003-2006, Dan joined the communications team of Sen. Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign in the summer of 2007.

Before graduating from the University of Virginia in May 2008 with a B.A. in Political and Social Thought, Dan received a Harrison Research Award for his undergraduate thesis on presidential speechwriting. An Echols Scholar and a recipient of the Robert Kent Gooch Scholarship, Dan also served as the executive editor of The Cavalier Daily.
